Default 3 Cell Lipo, Mamba 25 ESC?

Does anyone know if the stock motor can handle this or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Losi says DO NOT run more than a 2c Lipo on this setup or motor! They say stay under a 7.4v or 2c, and if going brushless stay under a 6000kv motor. Hope that helps

6000 kv motor is alot!!!

I know the ESC can't handle it as Rich told me, I'm wondering about the motor, most can handle 12 volts.

The motor can, but it will get hot and wear out fast.

I think the mini pullers can handle the 3s.
Not sure they will fit though.

I could find one. I really don't think the losi needs more than 2s though, because any 2 ounce motor on 2s has plenty of power for it. You could run a slower motor and have longer runtimes for the Mah, but the extra cell would just be extra weight IMO.

I ask because I have a ton of these 1320 TP 3Cell lipos and no 2Cells, and stock is just a tad too slow for me.

Are you still using the BEC on your Mamba 25??

I ran mine in the MRC for about 2mins and the BEC smoked with the 3cell. But wow was the throttle response great. It would creep slower than the stock ESC on 7.2v but had much more wheelspeed.

I have yet to install it in the MRC but I never have used the BEC on the 25's other to power receivers.

666, I was just quoting the Mini manual on what I was telling you. I put a 16t pinion in last night and got great wheel speed and low end on the stock battery. I haven't seen anyone talk about gear changes yet? I've been messing with mine with everything from a 8t-16t.

Still working on it. I think the 454 would be too much motor for the MRC.
