Once I figured out that you need to set the end points on servo's I have yet to burn one up. I think more people burn servos up because they don't set the end points.

It's in the first post. Hitec HS-82 MG

I took the metal collar out of the lower shock rod end and cut one of the flanges off the metal collar on the lower link. Make sense?
Yeah I think I got it... Does it lower it enough to show an improvment in stability and climbing?

I moved it out of necessity when I relocated the servo. I think relocating the upper shock mounts to the chassis plates would be easier to test how much it helps.

It gave me more room for the lipo to sit on the front links.

Yeah I got one of the 1st VF dig unit, so was one of the first to burn up the servo trying to set the end points. After smoking the first one we kept a temp gun on the servo...it never got warm, and still smoked it .

Note: I was running a Castle BEC set up powering everything at 6 volt @10 amps. I re-wired the BEC so it was powering only the steer servo, and dig servos quit dying.

You should be fine.

Looks good!

Just don't tighten the screw down all the way and the lower shock mount shouldn't bind throughout the cycle. Mine seemed like it was going to bind a lot but once it's all together and I cycled the suspension it seemed very smooth and didn't feel like it was binding at all.

Nope, I do the same thing in one of my Slashes, just pay close attention to the power and once it starts to drop, turn it off.

These Mini Crawlers eat so little juice that you could run one pack for an hour and not even kill half the battery and swap it out for another if you are that worried about dropping the voltage to low. I have yet to even use my second battery though.

A friend and I just got done running my Losi MC's for around an 1 hour and 20 minutes. The micro servo is still working strong.

So far the drive train on these have taken some serious abuse, we had the tires bound up several times and so far no breaks.

So I put the Thunder Power 1320 mAh 2S Lipo that we crawled with for least 1 hour and 15 minutes today on the charger, it took 1258 mAh before it peaked.

The only problem with having a Lipo in the crawler is having all the extra punch and wheel speed compared to the stock pack. My friend drove the modded rig most of the time today and he loved the extra power as well, he would punch it from obstacle to obstacle saying "he was rock racing".

Not bad run time for such a small battery.

No problem. That is good tech and answers his question.

BTW, your rig needs a bath.
