Quick question for ya John. What kind of pivot ball did you use for the servo?

Although the package was yellow (from age) in color, I'm guessing that this was very old stock since my LHS has been in business for over 50 years. They probably have a ton of parts on the wall that are older then most of the RCC members.

Thanks for posting the link Xtant3150c, I'll add that to my first post for people that are interested.

These crawlers are really go anywhere rigs because of their size. When I said I bring mine with me just about everywhere I go, I really do. I was up at the Delta this last weekend and brought my modified one with me on my boat.

I swapped out the stock tires for some RC4WD mud slingers, while I love the look of these tires I forgot just how bad they perform even compared to the stock MRC tires. I can't wait for the blue compound claws to come out.

Here are some pics I took this last weekend. If you think the mud slingers don't have traction, try adding water and sand. No animals were hurt during this photo shoot.

I didn't do any fishing with rods, for some reason I only fished with just a line wrapped around my hand and a nymph fly. Caught a ton of blue gills, a couple squawfish and a couple small bass. I keep a couple of these hi tech setups in a cup holder on my boat.

Hey Badger , I like the look of your MRC , I bought one too and did several mods. Moved the stock battery to the servo , moved the esc , put the spacers on the left rear shock to , just about eliminate , the torque twist. Aluminum 1.9 beadlocks with RC4WD Prowler XS scale tires/ no foams , 2 oz in ea front and 1 oz in ea rear. Its has plenty of power , but it dosent crawl for SHAT. Seems to be lacking traction , is it the tires?
How does yours compare to your 2.2 rigs , mabey I'm expecting too much from this little rig.

Thanks
Dwane

The Slingers do look good on there! Would be nice if someone would help those guys get some good compounds

I think I will be looking to pick up one of these sooner rather then later

I know my rig with the stock tires can crawl like a monkey at my local crawl spot, but it is fairly high traction with the concrete planted rocks. I was crawling there last night with chino63 and his new MRC's and he was just as blown away as me with the lines these crawlers can pull off.

Now with your rig, I've never used or seen those Prowler tires but if they are anything like the mud slingers or rock crushers compound they would have shitty traction. I do know that tread design on the Prowlers provide so side hilling traction. If you want more traction try some Trail Docter's or wait for the new claws from Losi.

I actually started to like the lack of traction the mud slingers had last night, it made all the obstacles more challenging.
