Default Del Monte's MRC

Well, its taken me a while to post up this rig, partly because I'm lazy... but mostly since I've been having such a blast driving this little guy.

This rig is decked out with all the Losi goodies

1.9 Aluminum rims
Blue Compound Claws
Aluminum Shocks
Offset servo plate
Losi Lipo
Losi CV shafts

I've tried quite a few different shock setups on this rig. What I've found worked best was limiting the shocks a bit with fuel tubing and running 30wt. oil all around. I've got 1/4" pieces of tubing under the piston inside the shocks, and on the shaft outside.

The tires and wheels made a huge difference in performance and looks too. I'm running the supplied weights in the front rims, and this thing can climb now

Of course, it has to match its big brother

The aftermarket servo plate mounts off the same holes as the stock plate. It just pushes the servo off to one side and makes room for that teeny little lipo.

It's nice, I run the same set up on my DMG Nat.

What else you have in that thing? What esc you running, what motor? I am curious cause I am thinking about running that lipo combo but you need a new esc I though?

Nice 1:1 Did Losi sponsor you for that?

Its working great.. a lot more power then stock, although for some reason my stock Losi servo worked better on my old VF dig :-P

I'm running the lipo on the stock setup with no problems. There's no voltage cutoff though, so you just have to keep an eye on the battery and stop crawling once you see the power drop off. I'm getting well over an hour on that little pack, and its pretty easy to see when it starts to go.

and yes, Losi is sponsoring our Ftoy for the 2009 season

I believe it's a Hi Tec 5245MG Mini Digi...the analog version is the 225MG.

Correct

So far I like it. Its got a decent amount of torque compared to the stock servo, and it feels a lot smoother.

Jake, have you weighed the Losi locks with everything mounted? I'm curious to know the difference between those and the Eritex Comp Heavies that are on my Nat.

The Heavies are 4.6 oz each, all up with Blue Claws and Losi memory foams...no additional weight added.

Badger weights the Losi beadlocks with a few others in this thread
Losi 1.9 Aluminum Beadlocks for my MRC

I was concerned with them being too heavy for the mini, but its perfect. This rig can just about keep up with my 2.2, except on big breakover stuff.

I picked up a set of delrin links for Shane at SAC racing today. They look great and feel like they should slide over the rocks a lot better. I'll put them to the test on a little trail run tomorrow
