Yup yup...it drives very nice and was capable of doing much better if it wasn't being controlled by a sick driver with way too little comp practice. I just have to get some hardware for yours before it ships...and the bodys look awesome!

Man your rig looks good too. You have the electronics mounted up much nicer than I have. Do you have cross braces on yours? I tried to mount a cross brace to mount electronics, but it stiffened up the chassis so much. I ended up using a piece of bike tire innertube and some zip ties to make a platform between the upper links. This allowed a flexable but stable place to stick things.

Not sure if it is because of the smaller tire in your flex pic, but your design looks to have more "free" flex. I'm sure that you can twist it damn near in half if you wanted, but the "free" flex is what is nice. You can always limit it with the upper link position.

ok, so here is an update. The new (final) revision DID eliminate all axle wrap. allowed a bit more flex, made it smoother reacting, and gave more upper link mounting options. I also narrowed the skid by .4" for my comp rig. This thing is an animal!

On to the pics... I'll post up new vids in the next few days. I have been so so busy drivin this thing I forgot to set up the vid cam.

Must have fallen into a hole or something and missed this whole thread!?

Great video and execution of design. Love the steering too! All around a unique chassis for the mini.

Do you really feel that Delrin will "break in" though? I cannot imagine it doing that as it is a cast/rolled plastic with (some) memory. Sure you can heat it and bend it to stay, but break in?

Just curious?

Oh, and if that dig releases soon I will have to buy another mini just for it as I have one of VF's first releases still going strong on a 225. I swear by that dig and the fact that without it I could not drive, lol. Never had a single problem and I'll bet the mini dig will be the same.

Hell, I'll even rally for a "Dig Class" for the mini here, lol.

You can actually tell a HUGE difference after 20-30 packs run through it. It begins articulating much smoother but thus far still wont let your tires fall into holes. It's just such a fun truck to drive. We changed up the shop course yesterday to make it more difficult (pretty much impossible) for our 2.2 rigs. We put a bunch of large holes in the course, which would tangle most rigs completely up (when factored in with how narrow the lines were to begin with) but with a couple of reverses this lil guy would still make it through.

Oh, and if that dig releases soon I will have to buy another mini just for it as I have one of VF's first releases still going strong on a 225. I swear by that dig and the fact that without it I could not drive, lol. Never had a single problem and I'll bet the mini dig will be the same.

The dig is releasing very soon. I am working out the dig servo issue allowing more options for guys to use (I'm incorporating the same new design into a new dig servo mount for the AX dig as well). I'm doin the same thing, I'm building a leaf sprung Mini SS that will house the dig and be my basher and then I've got this guy all comp legal for the more serious driving.

Hell, I'll even rally for a "Dig Class" for the mini here, lol.

I'm sending a few out to hand picked drivers next week for testing and then it will be released for a limited production run.
