I have to get one of these MRC's, my boy loves my Savage, he has a Nylint 1/18 which needs moding, but for me it has to be one of these.

| Update.....Losi goodies!!
I just picked up a complete set of Losi axle goodness... Time to do work After shearing a pin on a rear dogbone for the second time:-(, the rear lockout kit was inevitable. These Losi products are top notch quality, all of the upgrades installed flawlessley! The rear lockout kit, BEEFY Installed on my rig. Did someone say "beer-thirty" The CVDs... The install was a snap. My only recomendation is be sure to lock-tite the set screws. There wasn't any from the factory:-(, and losing a retaining pin/set screw is pretty much guaranteed without it!! CVDs, knuckles and Cs all installed Also threw on a 645mg.... All in all I had no issues with any of the losi products. I've seen a few posts about guys having problems with some of the HR products, so this time I went Losi. No complaints. Here is a shot of the improved steering angle with the CVDs/knucks/Cs over a stock set-up. On a rig without the luxury of dig, every extra degree is money I got some new DNA shoes & Bashers comin' for my rig... My son's rig is getting some blue claws, Venom Fireball, 30 deg links, and the 4 link/full sz. servo treatment Stay tuned........... Last edited by RockAddict75; 01-28-2009 at 11:50 AM. Reason: SE |

Thanks for the review/ pics. I have been looking at these parts and wondering about the advantage. Your pics answered all my questions and with all the HR slams I was looking at Losi all the way, your info sealed the deal, thanks.

Plenty of power !! (runnin a Sidewinder, Tourqemater mini, 645 on a CCBEC @ 6 volts) I get about 30-40 min., depending on your throttle finger I keep my cut-off set @ 6.3v., but you could probably eek out a couple more minutes by runnin' them down to 6

| They are losi 1.9 memorys with a 3/8'' slice of losi blue 3M'd to the edge. I'm runnin' the blue slice to the outside edge of each tire I like the memory foams alot more than the blues, but I noticed while running them with the claws they had a tendencey to roll under on steep sidehill lines. I've done something similar before w/my superclass rigs, and had good results |

As for keepin' the stock chassis.... A couple guys I hang with are running the slingshot. They can't seem to get their rigs dialed in as well as I have w/the modded stocker.Plus I've never liked running the same set-up as everyone else. As far as the other chassis choices out right now, they all seem to use the stock linkage locations:-(, and IMO that config. stinks!! I am however keeping a close eye on Austin's GC mini. It looks like it has more of what I'm looking for (multiple link positions, reverse triangulation, narrow skid, ability to use the shocks I already have)

Well I decided to try my hand at cuttin' & shuttin' some Cougars showthreadhttp://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160723 Man was it worth the effort! A few pics..... These tires flat out perform, slick-rock, jagged-rock, low trac, high trac, off-camber turns, severe sidehills, they devour it all For anyone thinking about trying to cut some 1.9s, do it allready It isn't half as difficult as I thought it was gonna be. Ya just have to take your time and make your cuts count. |

It's cool that you're getting your son involved already. I have so many RC-related memories with my dad as a kid. Your son will cherish these "little things" in life when he gets older. I like your reconfigured battery pack. That's pretty clever and I haven't seen anybody else do that. BTW...having a wife that allows rocks in the house for your hobby is PRICELESS! |

Jake is showin' some skill with the radio, I'm actually gonna let him run a 2.2 @ comps this year! Hard to believe for a 4 year old, but he has more patience than most drivers ! The wife is one hell of a woman;) Having my son all jacked up on crawlin' certainly helped. Plus I had to promise the rocks would be back outside as soon as the weather breaks.
