Default removing battery tray questions

i have a few questions...

how are the mrx and esc attached to the tray, are they glued???

im going to have to move the upper shock mounts to the top of the chassis, will the ball bolt fit in the hole????

im think about puuting the mrx and the esc on the v-links, is this a good idea?????

and final and most important question, is it worth the time doing it??? Does it help a lot cuz i only want to do it if it helps a lot.

sorry that there is so much questions, thanks.

They're just double sided taped on.

the holes may need to be opened up a little to fit the ball mounts and you'll need some 3mm lock nuts for them.

if you outboard the front shocks and flip the trans you can put the battery on the front 3 link.

Absolutely this is worth it, other than the 3mm lock nuts it's free! It will lower the COG and make the machine crawl 1000 times better!

Also you can cut the tray to leave the shock mounts like stock but you'll have to put the battery out back if you go that route.

hey thanks so much but if u out bourd the shock mounts wont the tires rub??? cuuting the tray and leaving the shock mounts would be cool but wouldnt the part that you left turn because there is only 1 bolt holding it on, on each side???

I never left the stock mounts myself, I just mounted the ball in the chassis. The tires don't rub if the shocks are outboarded either. If you leave the stock mounts and cut the tray I think it just rotates to the highest point, which kinda helps too as it lowers the rig a bit giving a little lower COG.

i saw the pics of your rig and i kinda don't like the look of the out board shock mounts the stick way to far out. I kinda dont want to cut it because i know it will lower it if it gos up but i kinda dont want my shocks moving around like that when i dont want them to. So is there any disadvantages for doiing this???? thanks.

yeah, I hate the look of the outboarded shocks too but it seems to work fine. I'll go lipo here sooner or later and I can go back to the inside then.

I really can't give you any insight as to the stock mounts if you cut the tray as I never ran mine like that. Matter of fact if you saw the pics in the other thread that rear four link mount IS that part of the electronics tray.
