Default madmaxxed's mini ss, the litte bros.

i was planning on posting up a start to finish build thread with pics but after getting into the build i spaced out on snapping picks. it was a somewhat detailed build and i really didn't want to spend the time with the pics. i made great use of the a lot of the stock hardware, 2mm misc. size spacers, other goods i had laying around. the skid plate and lower mounting holes in the chassis were drilled and tapped for 3mm while the rest of the mounting holes were drilled at 2mm allowing me to use a lot of the stock hardware along with what was provided in the kit. i had the bug body laying around for my mlst2 so it made some use for the mini ss. planning maybe the mini grappler body for my end result.

***DNA mini slingshot chassis kit
***bent lower delrin links in the rear (shaved down to rodends)
***straight delrin links in the front (shaved down to rodends)
***delren upper links (shaved down to rodends)
***TLT rod ends for lower links on skidplate side
***stock losi mrc rod ends on all the rest
***stock mrc electonics for now
***losi rockbashers blue with memory foams
***aluminum beadlocks
***losi aluminum mini t shocks (2 pairs of fronts)
***CR/CC Stainless Lower and Steering Links (waiting for arrival in mail)
***HPI 2mm lock nuts
***homade electonics tray for esc

not sure where my battery is going yet. i may try it on the rear axle.
i cut down the upper front links to lay back the driveline angle a bit and i may do the same to the rear if i choose to run my pack on the rear axle plate.

Looks great man! So you had no problems getting this thing together? I am skeptical to buy one after all the drilling and tapping I heard were needed.

it went together very easily. i basically mocked the same setup i have on my 2.2 eliminating the need for different rod ends like most people are using. i used all 2mm hardware on mine and 3mm only on the skid plate. i only had to use a larger rod end on the skid plate side of the lower links and i had some kicking around from my tamiya tlt kit so there was no need to purchase any. i have not run the truck yet. i still need to figure where abouts the battery pack is going. all in all the kit went smooth. i only had to drill out the 2 skid plate holes on one chassis plate. mfg error i assume.

Loving the new shell. You did a really nice job on the paint.

Looking forward to your review on the chassis performance
