Default What motor?

My motor is about to take a dump and I wonder what everyone is using on here. Please post what you are running so I may find a good replacement. Iam still running factory electrics. Thanks in advance. Dustin

after driving Gatekeeper's, the Losi slider is on order to replace the venom fireball. The fireball has good wheel speed (needs a tad bit more) but no bottom end uummmfff

LOSI mini slider motor ,all you have to do is drill your pinion out just a very little bit

I have one of the MLST replacement motors in my test truck. Is it the Frenzy? Something like that... The motor works well. I also have a Kyosho motor in my main rig. Neither needed any notable modifications to fit.
Both motors add torque and wheelspeed with out any major reduction in run time.

I just stopped by the lhs and it's closing at the end of the month, huge sales. I went in to buy some paint and a magazine and walked out with a nib MRC and a couple motors, a ton of fastcolor, some wheel weigts, oh yeah and my magazine. One of them is a Losi insane 370 for the mlst ($7.75) and the other is Trinity micro monster ($5.99). I had to buy them both for that price neither one could be too bad, could they?

I'll be trying them tomorrow.

Later

Talking Holmes TMM

I love my Holmes Torque Master Mini. Lots of torque and wheel speed. I did have a problem with the burshes hanging up but John Holmes sent me some replacement brushes and it is much smoother now. I understand he is now replacing the brushes before it leaves his shop. The timing is set to zero, so it doesn't matter if you have a flipped tranny. Holmes Hobbies has great service.

Mini slider is the way to go. Its a RX 280 motor. Like Gatekeeper said alittle mod to the pinion gear and your good. For 15.99 I'd give it a try. I did install a ten tooth pinion on mine but mods to the motor mount were necessary. I'll be putting the stock pinion back on. I'm running mine with a B1R and love it. Tones of torque and wheel spin. Watch out cause it might change your driving style. It's tone of fun having a MRC doing wheeles

Hey, I'm gonna meet up w/ you at the altoona dam comp and let you try mine with the mini slider and stock electronics. I just feel like its too sensitive to crawl with and the power comes on way too fast for technical crawl sections. We talked about it in another motor post. Not sure I just need a programable ESC or better radio/reciever. "Sneed", is happy with his with his mini slider and is running a B1R with the stock programming but i've drivin his and think its only slightly easier to control than mine.

I've been trying to get in contact with him as well but found out (through another thread) that he won't be back until January 19th.

i really wish it was that easy for some reason my screw holes in the motor did not line up so needless to say it took some modding to the motor plate and a whole bunch of Patience nice wheel speed and torque though, buts its alot louder than the stock motor

another motor that will drop in with no modding is the sportwerks e-370 (part # from horizon swk6214)imo it is a lot better than the losi mini slider motor no pinion drilling needed
