Default mrc scaler with Raneir9 frame

just thought id share a few pictures of my almost finished mrc project. Body is the newbright tundra painted in desert sand and the frame is the raneir9 by sac racing. Please tell me what you guys think because this website is what convinced me to start selling some of my guns to pay for scale builds! Onto a few pics! Oh any comments or suggestions welcome.

Nice crawler man, Im totaly diggin what you did to the body, the color is very rad and having the bumpers hacked seems to make the body look much tougher.

Once you get a good shot of her on the rocks ill put the picture on the website. On the rainer 9 page

Nice ride! I'd like to see you slam that body down a bit, cut those factory body mounts off and maybe widen the wheel wells for some flex clearance. I really dig the paint and the shaved front bumper keep up the good work. Welcome to the crawler side of life!!!

body off pics for fun. Losi mrc axles motor and tranny, sac racing raneir9 frame and newbright tundra body with cut bumpers, hpi racing front bumper. I am planning on dropping the body, stiffer springs[ suggestions?] and 1.9 mudders and maybe a machine gun in the bed for that somalia warlord look.

Thats the sickest body I have seen yet on the MRC.....now all you need is a nice set of scale 1.9 wheels. Time to sell another gun. This is a way better sport by far and it doesnt cause death to living things. lol. Way cool rig bro.

Mr ed I used the 2.4 system on my brushless stampede because i needed the control and range for my truck that can hit 60mph in a few seconds. The mrc goes what, 1 mph....I bought a spare 2.4 setup just for my touring car for the same reason.

ok guys I lowered the body 1/4 inch and painted the frame black. Also did a bed liner, proper battery tray and washed all the body lines in water based paint so ill have some pictures later today for you guys ,and a good picture in the snow for Krawler Freak because it would be cool to see my truck on your page, I enjoyed this build and am not totally done but 98 percent done

Krawler Freak/SAC,

I have a quick question for you about the chassis. How come you did not build in more adjustability into the chassis so that it could be configured in a wheelbase past 9"?

To do so would mean more holes in the chassis and an awkward looking top link mount, and id still be faced with the issue of the wheel base only lining up with an unknown amount of bodies. So the chassis was designed with the most common wheel base used and if a longer wheelbase was needed longer lower links and a spacer on the 3 link would work better. As they can be custom made to exactly fit the desired wheelbase.

The chassis dose not come with any post due to the wide variety of body used on scale crawlers. It would be hard to include a mount that even 30% of all builders could use. Though the top shock hoop holes are 3mm you can still use the stock body mounts on the Rainer 9 chassis.

Thanks,

That looks awesome. The frame definitely looks better black, but I still think the body should be a little lower. On new trucks you don't see much of the frame hanging below the body. But great work!

That body looks awesome.
One thing though, i personally think that the lights mounted in the bed make it look a bit pants, ;)
