Default Sierra's MRC

I couldn't leave this one alone. I built a plywood ramp and stapled some toolchest bedliner onto the plywood (no sandpaper at the time). I know it's not the norm but I simply used it for my own purposes. Bone stock, the MRC climbed 51 degrees.

Now time to modify...

I removed the battery tray, shocks, and wheels followed by flipping the motor and tranny. With the shocks, I added pen springs as limiters and mounted to the ends of the chassis plates. The stock battery didn't fit well on the front 3 link. So, I opened up the battery and reconfigured the cells to fit appropriately. Meanwhile, I added 2.75 oz to the front wheels and 1.25 to the rears. Electronics were mounted lower and the body was slammed down as much as I could. As far as steering, this servo is quite strong and throws the front wheels around pretty well if you remove the rubber washer in the axle ends and tighten the servo saver.

Now it climbed the same setup at 57 degrees.
