I put the vents in the tires. I just felt bad even thinking about drilling such a great looking wheel.

Yup I also vent the tire.

Air going out the wheel or vent hole needs to pass through the foam. Air will more easily escape out the tire since not all the air is forced through the foam.

I too vent the tire. It seems to react better to me than venting the wheel. The other advantage is if (when) you run it through any water, you can easily drain the water from the tire whereas if you vent the wheel, you have to pull the tire off the wheel in order to drain it completely.

like everyone else here ,,i vent my tires as well. a $15 set of tires is better than a $100 set of wheels imo. i use an old soldering iron and put 2 holes opposite each other. never had an issue with any 1.9 2.2 or super tires.
