Default Front Spool

Has anyone tried one of these, HKS Spool , or something similar in their MRC. I am interested in getting one, but not sure if any other parts are needed, cinsidering the stock diff has beveled gears.

I believe that part is for the center transmission, not for the axles.

Losi makes metal lockers for the center and the front and rear diffs. They are locked stock with plastic that will strip.

Remember the front/rear packs are only enough for 1 diff, not both!

Strip, that would be nice. I have only see them snap in half, lol.

Spend the money and get the metal lockers all around. Sure they cost more, but you won't have to worry anymore.

They are parts on my list, but I can't find them in stock anywhere right now. I did notice when I installed the HR driveshafts, that one of the screw heads in the front diff had broke off. Anyone have any issues with this, or is this a just a wear and tear issue with the stock plastic parts.

I have heard of a few others that had broken screws when they opend them up. I myself have broken one when changing to the metal lockers, I now use just a dab of blue Locktite and snug them up just a little. They will pop the heads off real easy.
