Default Need to upgrade all the electrics.

ordered a functional winch for my jeep and also want to replace the esc, battery, and receiver. what is the best thing for me to buy. i know that i need to get a 3 channel controller/receiver. i also want to add the hh mini torquemaster. dont want to spend a fortune, but want good, reliable stuff the first time. the stock motor just cant hang with my heavy truck anymore, and the big ass stock battery needs to go.
thanks for any help.

Sounds like you are not going comp with it so I would get a Sidewinder or Micro Mamba. Holmes has a sale right now on them. TMM is a great motor. Mine is in but waiting to be programmed (compter crashed at home). Since you are not too worried about space (I assume) than go with a small 3s lipo if you upgrade your esc. Like I said, the Sidewinder or Micro are a great bet and can handle lots of power.

Forgot to add, since you are using a winch you might want to look into the dx3r for the 3rd channel option. Sure you can mod a couple radios but the Dx3r is a true 3-position channel. Run you about $300 though and you get a new RX in it.

thank you for the info. i assume both those esc have good drag brake. the truck weighs in at around 4 pounds and the stocker just cant hold it. also how easy is it to set up the new stuff. i dont know anything about the electric stuff. as long as it is straight forward, and do i need to pay attention to what kind of connectors are used on the battery and such.

I have the regular Mamba in my comp rig and she is heavy. The drag brake will hold before the tires will.

Easy is in the eye of the beholder. I think it is easy if you have common sense/knowledge of wiring. As for connectors I use nothing but Deans. They are the best.

I would recommend a BEC for the servos on your rig. Castle makes all the products you need.

Why not the dx3s it's 3 channel and only 250?

DX3R is 3 position 3rd channel and the DX3S is a 2 position 3rd channel. You need the 3 position for the 3racing winch as well as a dig

EDIT- and if you look you can get the 3R for $280
