Default Tanis's MiniGC2

Big thanks to Austin for the sweetness, this chassis is going to be the one to beat in '09. You can find them in the vendor section here, http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=154298

So I hit the local hobby shop today to pick up a Losi crawler for this build, and a big bottle of my favorite beer on the way home..........

Had to go with the red one, so that my youngest daughter would have a spare body for her mini:-P, although I'm partial to red anyway.

Everything was neatly packaged in separate little baggies, very easy to lay out and get started and a complete package kit, no need to hunt for any extra parts

Started off assembling the lower links

Chassis together

Limiting the shocks

All bolted up

All the electronics up front

Gotta roll with some Vanquish Lil Harry's

Need to mount the body and get to trimming it

THe build looks great! I noticed you limited the front shocks and not the rears. Is this what the GC2 requires? What oil are you running in the shocks and how are you dealing with the MRC torque twist?

Brilliant build Nathan. I see now that I will need to buy a new MRC so I can run that awesome chassis (all my mounts are shaved off my MRC axles).

I did actually limit all 4 shocks, and I'm running 30wt to start with, and will tune from there.
I haven't driven mine yet, need to finish up the little things yet here in a bit, but the link/chassis geometry takes care of most of the TT by design I'll be tweaking on it to get it dialed for our comp on sunday.

The front springs are from the stock shocks and the rear springs are from the aluminum ones

Tomorrow I should be able to hit the rocks, unless it decides to snow tonight

I did, but I traded it to my buddy Donovan last week(who was with me at Nats)to get him into the mini class, I couldn't talk him into buying one himself And I sold some parts the last few days, and figured a brand new start would be nice with this chassis.

Looking good Nathan, but what's up with the stock electronics? Wish it was midnight already so I can start on mine.
