Great fun. REALLY top heavy out of the box and the tires aren't sticky at ALL! After removing the electronics tray, relocating the shocks and electronics, and adding weight, I LOVE IT! I went out with a few guys in there 2.2s and even they were impressed. I can't wait to get my Flat Irons.

Probably depends on what you want to use it for. When i got my mrc stock i didn't change a thing for a couple days and had a lot of fun. After that i put the battery on the back axle(world of difference) , put enough sticky wieghts in the front wheels to make it just a bit heavier in the front, and took off the servo saver. I ran this "setup" for a week or 2 before making the mod plunge. I have read tons of posts with people sayin how bad the stock servo is but mine keeps on truckin no probs and im not babying it. I even rolled it down the bank into our local lake submerged it all completely oops but zero problems with anything stock after i let it dry out. one con is all the stock shocks will leak oil out all over the axles. Also the charge with the stock battery lasts me about an hour run with a 2.5hr charge. Last edited by CrawlinMike; 02-16-2009 at 02:52 PM.

I agree with most of what was said. It's such a fun little truck! And, afterall, fun is why we play with these RC toys to begin with, right? It is very top heavy out of the box. Mine is still very top heavy and prone to rollovers, but I haven't moved the battery or gotten rid of the electronics tray up top yet. But they are fun and will make you want to wrench on them and buy all kinds of parts for them!

I've had a blast with mine. Did the weights in the front wheels, tranny flip and set the battery on top of the servo, lowered the body...all the free mod stuff I guess, and it made a big difference. Trashed the servo soon after, had some issues w my HS-645 replacement (got a hold of a defective servo) but that's resolved now. I love that it's small enought to crawl around on stuff inside. I had some friends over and we had a good time using the MRC and an obstacle course as kind of a drinking game. Plus the small size makes it easy to find stuff to crawl over for me. (It's very flat and sandy terrain where I live). I still want a nasty tuber 2.2 for big outside stuff though.

I'm looking for a second one right now! First has a mini Gatekeeper chassis, full size servo, DNA wheels, blue compound tires... Just keeps adding up, but fun as hell.
