Default Quick fix stock servo mount Alternative needed

My lhs closes at 6:30... I'm putting 4 wheel steer on right now but i've hit a wall because losi sent me the plates but instead of mounts they had these in the bag...now i'm all done except mounting the srrvo. My lhs keeps a very limited stock of parts and none are for the mrc.. What they have is some helicopter/plane extras and some extras for the more mainstream rcs like stampede etc. or is there another way to make some quick mounts thatll hold up?

ok bro if your using a mini servo try and see if they have any post style servo mounts for any losi mini or associate rc18t. If your using full size. you can use post mounts for almost anything from associated, losi, and axial. Hope that helps umm associated part for a standard is asc7336. Just picked up one yesterday from my LHS

you say your lhs has heli/plane parts, right? i imagine there has to be something from them that would suit your purpose. it looks like a rc18 servo mount might be the right size to mount a mini servo. you might have to cut/drill/tap something cuz i don't think you'll find anything 'bolt on' good luck.

Yours posted while i was typing., Thanx for even better info Wartrader.
Richard.

Im gonna cut/drill/tap mounts for now...i also gotta find a servo horn and ball i guess its back to the hob shop... necessity is the mother of invention-thats why alot of these guys get so creative

oh and about my package having the wrong contents its losb1421. I've had this package for a week and sent e-mail to losi when i got it telling them about the mispackaging they haven't replied all I wanted was it replaced but now i've ordered another and with shipping i've completely wasted another 13bucks. the stock mrc already has two servo plates so when i ordered the item all I was wanting was the dang mounts!

Well I found a horn and ball stud (Thank goodness). As for a servo mount i was SOL but ones on its way but until it gets here I used some double sided tape and two pull ties but its not moving at all. I wanted to use stock servos because the one that came on mine has been a tank so far and I couldnt understand why everybody was having so much trouble. Well my front one is still truckin on but the one I ordered for my rear steer lasted about 5 minutes (on my livingroom floor crawling on a box!!) until it started grinding. ohh boy. Does anyone have an opinion on running two 645's on stock electronics? Ihope I wont have to get a new esc yet.ADDICTED AND GOING BROKE

had the same exact problem this week im also suprised servo mounts werent included w/ the cf servo/batt plate

the stock mounts are a little too tall to fit the servo properly. when screwed in place the servo is actually about 1mm above the plate which i found really weird. i thought theyed have the posts sitting flush on the cf plate

i let the owner of my lhs know and he gave horizon a call to get the correct posts in

you might also want to tell ur lhs so they can let horizon know.
