| i bought some of the losi blue compound rock bashers with memory foam in the front tires and some bent links from jake a couple of days ago and i love it. only reason i went to a full size servo was because i killed the stock one the day after i got my mrc. | I'd say shocks. They are the most obviously lacking element on the stock car, you get a lot back for that one simple change. The stock servo runs fine, until it doesn't so no need to replace that until you kill it. |

Tires get my vote. You can mess around with the other stuff and make it tolerable until you're able to upgrade.

x2 on the tires. you dont need rims glue them or convert the stockers to real beadlocks add some weight. then you will need metal lockers cause of all the new found traction. a full size servo and some cvd's and ure comp worthy the stock esc/motor are fine untill your ready for some major upgrades. shocks arent as terrible as most say but for 30 bucks or so why not get something else smooth on there too.

x3 on the tires. thats the first thing I did and noticed a big difference. Put some weight up front, put the bat on top of the servo, thats weight and is free.

Tires brah They will make the most noticable improvement on a box-stock rig;) Then pretty much everything else except for the axles/tranny

IMO;) The Flat Irons are too tall to run on a relatively stock rig. They will raise your CG waaaay up there, and make your already "tippy" stock rig even more prone to roll-over. You might as well forget about side-hilling, it ain't gonna happen! Don't get me wrong, Flat Irons can be performers. I have a buddy that runs them on his 1.9, & I've seen them perform. His rig is highly modded, and is slammed low.(makes up for the tall tire height). I've run both the blue Claws & the Bashers. They both have their pros and cons, but in my experiences, I'd have to give the Bashers a slight advantage.(sidehill better, wear longer) My son & my MRCs Link http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=153822
