The wheels my friend are more than worth the wait! Build up was great! TYVM for a great product soo now where are the new weight covers LMAO... Just joking bro I'm really happy soo I'll leave you alone on that, but I will be watching. Dan I've said it before but I really am impressed with your product and definately your service. I'm moving over from a DNA mini SS. I'll say for sure that this build is 85% easier. Everyting you need is in the box! From a perfomance aspect I've only been able to do some living room crawling cause of snow but what I've seen so far seems really great! I've got a really simular set up to you have posted Austin and I really like it. For no tuning out of the box I think it really is the hot set up. I'll post more as I get some real rock time and get my blue bashers put on. I got the FlatIrons more for fun than comp. I'm one of those old school lifted mud truck guys (the one with the biggest tires wins LOL) I also want to get my mini slider motor in, I was messing with it and I thinks I may have gotten it a little too HOT!! LOL Might have to hit the LHS again! It's a tough decision for me though I've really gotten used to the bottomless torque of the Mini Torquemaster but I do have to say that there have been a few times I really wanted the wheel speed of something like the mini slider. Might just have to go on a gear buying spree. Soo I'll say this from my experience you cannot go wrong with Mayhem Engineering or from Gatkeeper both have been great about helping get answers for questions and just providing great overall service! Thanks! Last edited by WarTrader; 02-23-2009 at 06:23 PM.

| That's a sweet setup! The weighting concept of those wheels is very clever. |

| Well we had a little break in the weather so I headed for my little neighborhood crawl spot! Well consideing there was still snow and it was wet as hell. This set up was amazing! I was pulling lines I couldn't at all with my Mini SS set up. This may have a little to do with the tires and wheels but the tires were constantly clogged with snow and wet sand soo I'm not sure how effective they really were. I really love the wheels they do a great job! I know some people have said they were concerned about debris gettng into the wheel and effecting how it performs. Well I pulled two of the weight covers after todays trip and both were 100% clean. This was in conditions with snow, wet and dry sand! I really ment to post a pic or two but I was having soo much fun I forgot to take any LOL Thanks again to Gatekeeper for a great chassis ,and Mayhem for some great wheels! |

| So is it safe to say with the added clearance you like the flatirons more then bashers in blue compound. I have the bashers and was considering these with the clearance as a bonus. |

TY I haven't tried the bashers yet I'm still in love looking at those big OLE flat iron. (Feel like I got the 8" lift and 35's I've been wanting on my jeep). I'm looking foreward to it though. I may even pu a set of blue claws at some point to give them a try. Last edited by WarTrader; 02-26-2009 at 05:43 PM.

| This Week's testing is gonna be Bashers and I wanna get a pack or two through the 600Mah Losi Lipo. The Lipo is great, perfectly sized to fit on the front upper links. The only thing I admit that I don't care for is the balance tap, the plug is very unususal. With some help from Mike at http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com I got some taps for a 2S align and then a Align to thunderpower adapter. As I already have the balance block for thunderpower for my Hyperion charger. I have a really nice Thunderpower 1320MaH that is my workhorse pack I use for general bashing that if your in the market for a bigger pack I reccomend. Truth be told I love the flat irons but as we speak I'm waiting for paint to dry on my new grappler body, and I really don't wanna Chop the crap outta my new lid. I also thew some black rings on my CDP's I hope Dan over a Mayhem Comes out with the weight covers he was talking about earlier, I love these but It would be cool to get another look too. ![]() ![]() For more info on this set up I have them set up on my GC2 Chassis, I'm running a full load of bearings in the front of the Mayhem CDP's and none in the rear. I've got the Losi Blue Compound Bashers on a set of Losi memory foams. Just looking at these I'm a little nervous about side hilling as the tires are already showing a good bit of Sidewall flex. I read in the tires and wheels section this could be a problem depending on the weight of your vehicle. I'm going to give it a go as is. If I got a little nice weather or head down to RC Hobbies and use their indoor course I'll post up what I think of them. Last edited by WarTrader; 03-01-2009 at 11:44 AM. |

| I got out today to do a little crawling with the bashers. I can say that this tire is really great. The combination of the chassis and this tire I was pulling off lines I thought would be impossible. I really found these tires to do great on foreward pull far better than the stock. Where I was running is sand/rock, the rear tires were often loaded up with wet sand but the bashers really seem to find traction and turn it into foreward momentum. I was really surprised to find that the tire did a great job at not deflecting from the face of some very steep ascents again this was often with the tires loaded with wet sand. Even with losi memory foam I found that that the sidewalls didn't deform unacceptably, and sidehilling was great. I really need to give the flat Irons another go in better conditions. I'm really holding off considering buying some widners and some axial 1.9's (don't really want to redrill my CDP's Just for a little testing) so I don't have to chop my lid to peices.
