Default ?? about the HR alum transmission gears

Looking at the HR website, it looks like they have three sets of gears for replacing the gears in your center transmission.

MRC860H is the alum replacement for the main slipper gear. I get this, no questions about how this works.

MRC1000T is the Alum. Center Gear set. Looks like it replaces the Losi parts LOSB1428 (both gears) except the aluminum gear does not have the spots for the lockers?

MRC38XH is the aluminum center locked spool gear and eliminates the need for lockers in the center diff. replaces LOSB 1428.

My question is, do the center gear set and the locked spool gear work together, or is one or the other?

IS anyone here using these gears? How do you like them, would I just be better off getting the metal diff lockers instead?

thanks,
dave

That didn't really answer my question, which is why I posted my own topic on it.

I wanted to now if the replacement spool gear and center gear set are intended to go together or not? I'm confused because the image of the center gear set on the HR site shows a large 50t gear that does not match what I see in my MRC gear schematic.

In this pic you can see the larger gear does not have spots for the lockers, so what gear is this?

That is the gear that replaces the center lockers and gear. The output shafts from the transmission that the drive shafts attach to slide into the elongated holes in the middle that 50t gear, eliminating the lockers.

ahh, ok. so that larger gear is the same one as the one sold by itself as the "locked spool gear". I couldn't see the elongated holes at first, but now I do.

thanks!
