| Failed Mini Skeeter Build/t
Found a mini skeeter in the mailbox $30 later...Finish is prefect and everything fit together without having to modify anything. mini sidewinder, cc bec, hs645mg servo, HH torquemaster mini. Running blue claws on axial beadlocks with 3oz in each wheel up front and .5oz in the rears, cvds up front and stock axles in the rear for now. 8.25" wb and 1.75" belly height. receiver mount Using associated 18r body posts, had to dremel a notch on the tvps. Servo setup using the fubar 4 link mount included with the kit, shaved the axle mounts/stubs front and rear and had to get rid of the ota steering:-( knuckles shaved to get as much turning radius out of the cvds with the stock plastic ones. Shaved as much weight as I could off the tranny and only other thing on the chassis is the bec and wires. bottom... Begining of my practice course guesstimate of 4tons so far...see if you can spot the crawler... Only torque twist is in the driver rear when going in reverse otherwise there is none when going forward. Links are 4-40 allthread with linkage slider tubes on the outside, will make up some derlin links later. Comments/criticizm welcome |

Damn, gonna be too many mini-skeeters out there Sunday! Things are sprouting up like weeds. It's an awesome chassis, looks like you have some good tricks on yours. Where you getting your rocks & boulders? I've been hauling in rocks from the desert, but that's getting old... Like to have some decent sized boulders delivered. Rich C. |

First time painting a body...outside looks great, inside looks like I painted it by hand when I tried the bag trick to marbleize the paint...went all green after that... |

Pretty sure mine wasn't the only mini skeeter that finished in the top 5 today, in a 1.9 class with 25 people Last edited by Failedabortion; 04-20-2009 at 02:36 AM. |
