Sounds obvious but I have over looked this before as well, check your set screw on your driveline going into the rear end. Or it might be your lockers. If your still running plastic they can be stripped and actually not look like their in bad condition.

First, I would recommend that you replace both front and rear lockers with metal units from RcBros or Losi. They almost always cure the problem.
I know when mine went out, everything looked fine in the tranny, no broken gears no broken axles, nothing. Then I unscrewed the diff screws and looked at my lockers, couldnt tell right away that anything was wrong. So I pulled the lockers out. Sure they look fine from the outside but upon closer inspection the rectangle hole in the center of the diff had rounded out. Since it only rounded out on the right side of the diff then It still worked like I had 4wd on flat even ground and even slight inclines, but I could hold the right side rear tire and apply power and it wouldnt do anything.

Diff lockers.
But as drvn said, it cant hurt to check those set screw.

Even if you find out that the screws were loose I'd still throw in some metal lockers.

You can replace the center locker if you feel like you need to. I beat on mine with a trinity wild monster and a HH torquemaster mini without breakage.

you dont have to, and they almost never go bad, but I went ahead and replaced mine when I did the front and rear. I figured I already had it apart I might as well. Its good insurance too.

But no, you dont have to

I don't know if I would say that. Mine only lasted 3 weeks.
