So, I'm getting ready for this complete build up on my MRC. I pulled every nut, bolt, screw, gears, shocks and wires apart. Dissasembled the tranny, ring and pinion gears, even the servo to check for wear. Last night it was stormin real bad, so obviously I woke up at 1:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. You know, the whole hold down the fort thing. Anyhow, after the power comes back on I decide to do a little work to my MRC and work on the front axle steering link and servo arm. I already had the old steering link off and am waiting for my new susp. links to come in. I started to make a steering link out of 4-40ss allthread, but didnt really like the looks, thoug I new it could be covered up with fuel tubing. Then it hit me, If I flipped the knuckle over, and used one of the old steel lower links I could make a steering link that not only worked better, but was up higher and wouldn't get hung up by as much stuff. So heres what I did (wife took off with the camera, when she returns, I'll throw up some pics. 1st, remove servo, servo plate, servo arm. 2nd remove tires, and remove steering link and servo link 3rd, remove steering knuckels, and switch them to the opposite side. (right one to the left, and left one to the right). Then bolt them back on. 4th. Remove 1/16th of plastic from the bottom of the right side axle servo mount. 5th. loosen rod ends on old link 1/8th of an inch on both sides. 6th, Bolt up new steering link, and continue with re-installation. All done. You dont have to bend the link at all, it stays up out of the way, and best of all, looks really cool. I know, kinda worthless without pics, but wifey has the camera right now so I should have pics up sometime around 6 or 7 tonight. Cheers.

just some quick tips when taking pics -make sure the macro feature on ur cam is on . the icon for it is usually a tulip or some sort of flower -make sure the subject of your photo is in the center of the frame. press the shutter half way and wait for it to focus, then press the shutter all the way down

Yeah, i see what you mean there. I was tryin to come up with a way to not have to bend the steering link at all so it had a little more clearance... Not that its a huge amount, but every little bit ya know.

The knuckles dont change your steering angle. If you want more angle with the stock dogbones, then you have to cut down the axles where the dogbones go into them. About 1/8th of an inch. If you dont want to do that, which I wouldn't recommend, then get some CVD's
