Default RcBros shocks questions

Alright fellas, I just got in my new RcBros shocks (red)
When I got them out I immeditaly noticed that all of the springs (silver, blue, gold) are very, very stiff.
Are they all too stiff for the MRC?
What springs, if any are you running, if your not using springs, then what exactly are you doing.

Also, none of the ball links fit. Not the reds, nor the silvers. They were all way to small to fit the shocks... is this a common problem, or am I the only one.

Last, I filled them with 50wt losi shock oil, they are leaking a little. Anyone else have this problem, if so, what did you do to resovle it.

No one told me that I needed to buy the softer springs for the shocks...

Well, guess I'll have to put in another order.
Think I'll pic up the white and orange.

I run orange springs with 30wt oil. I really try to tell everyone that springs provided are pretty stiff. These shocks aren't made specifically for crawlers, however the fit the MRC great! The provided hardware is simply a bonus, why the red standoffs don't always fit I wish I knew. The silver stands offs should work fine, the screw should hold the shock onto the standoff.

The springs you listed are for the springs you currently have and will work great. Orange are the softest. The number in the shock tittle explains the stiffness, #2 being the softest.

As mentioned, the shock accessories are the bonus with the shock. I'm simply a reseller of the shock and have tried to get them to include hardware that works but the ball studs just don't seem to do so. The silver standoffs should not be an issue as you shoudl be using a screw to secure the shock cap onto the standoff. The screw secures the outside of the shock cap as it screws into the chassis you are using. I myself, insert fuel tubing into the head of the shock and secure with a screw and nut. See pic below:

I'm working on getting just the shocks so I can provide the correct springs.

i am happy with the shocks. im not complaning. im just trying to figure out to mount them coz it looks cool on tthe truck. when i build my 2nd 1 ill go for these again. the bonus parts are ok coz i can use them in some other way.

i think wot u did was bril. the screws that came with the shocks r too short. im still using the stock chasis and the screws doesnt even reach the silver bracket. im gonna try wot u did and see how it goes.

btw, wots the size of the nut ur using. id been to 3 local hardware store here and they dont sell them. im wondering whether i can get them online.

thanks for ur help.!!

Giddy, I'd love to be able to help here. I'm sure there is an easy answer.
But my MRC is completely torn down waiting for my mixer chassis to get here from RcBros.

I can tell you this much about the shocks. Pull em apart and swap out the two hole piston with the three hole pison. Then while you em apart, remove every o-ring, spacer or any other part you can get off. Inspect and clean very very thouroghly. Let dry very throuroghly, then carfully reassemble, and patiently add shock fluid. (I slid the piston up halfway, filled the shock up with 50wt, pulled the piston back down to bottom, topped it off, ran the piston up and down a couple of times, pulled to piston back to the bottom, added fluid if neccesary, then capped it off. If you take your time and do it right, I dont think springs will be absolutely necceissary).

Then again, with nothing to attatch them to, Its just a guess.
