has any one ever made there own links insted of buying them and if so how did they work? Also is it true that the longer the links the lower the rig will sit? |

I made both the uppers and lowers... I used 4-40ss allthread for both, and covered the bottoms with some aluminum tubing... really easy, works well and is plenty strong. I have since switched to a new chassis and new suspension and went all delrin tho |

I used 6-32 allthread, machined aluminum sleeve for it for strength and i left enough thread on both side for the pivot ball to thread into, and I used Axial pivot housing and ball

you could cover the links with ball point pen casings and they slide pretty good

when I got my Mixxer chassis I made all my own links, used 3/16 turned down to 3mm for the lowers, drag and servo links, used 3mm for the upper links and just used a hss die.
