Yep. I am not sure why this works or if it will work for others, but if I try to program my ESC like the manual says, then it does nothing but run at full throttle.

This is probably a dumb question for such a seasoned pro like yourself.
But is your tranny flipped so you had to swap the motor wires around?

That should not matter when it comes to programming. However, I have this system setup exactly like I did my Mongoose...which was properly programmed as Novak recommended.

I didnt think so. But I put my stock axial electronics in a slash roller for my son and it was all backwards. I had to set the thr.trim to reverse for it to work. It was doing what you suggested about it being full throttle all the time.So I just thought maybe.

Yeah, I've had to turn on the reverse for the throttle with other trucks...but that is in how you wire the motor and the direction it is facing.

Well, this truck did quite well today:

I saw a bunch of dolphins swimming out there today....probably 20 of them just about a hundred yards from shore....pretty cool!

After one jump, I did notice that I bent a shock mount bolt and ripped the shock mount out of the axle...

This is the most frustrating thing about these axles, the shock and link mounting tabs on the axles are WAY too weak.

Well, I would say that it held up well....after all, whatever I did also bent the bolt.

I've got a spare case so no biggie...

It can be.....sometimes it is too hot and humid to be out there for more than a few hours. Yesterday we had a front or something blow through and it was fairly cool and low humidity. It was quite nice out there.

Thanks!

Humidity. And that is why I cant stand to visit your neck of the woods

Or New York ,Florida...... Oregon is nice though.

If I get down there I will get ahold of ya so we can crawl. My company does alot from that area. We haul a ton of stuff from the port.

They tell me that you get used to it. I'm on my 4th year and I am still waiting for that to happen.

I do know that when I went out to the desert for a few weeks I almost shriveled up and died....

Wish I lived closer to the beach, I'd meet you over there man. Rig looks great J.
I gotta figure out away to get the BTA done with these HR knucks, that's just too slick on you and Shelby's rigs.

Thanks Shell! Yeah, the BTA takes a bit of work, but it turned out nicely. It wasnt easy to stuff all of that crap behind the axle yet miss the shocks and axle link mount plate.

well actually if you guy's show up early. there is plenty of parking all down the road there.

but while you are there. take the road that runs along the coast all the way west till it dead ends.

there is a parkiong area, get out and look around. mostly inland along the shore area. you'll see what I'm talking about. not as nice a spot view or rock, but plenty of parking.
I meant east east till it ends, like 2 mile down the road.

Lookin good, I like the new servo mounts.
Are thoise the 1/2" per side wideners from TCS? How do you like them? I guess the extra scrub radius could work for you in some spots, almost letting you "step" forward. Does it allow more throw out of the cvds?
Are those the lcc cvds?
And can I see a pic of what you did for your draglink? I have the tierod figured out but can't see how I'll have room for a downward mounted servo horn, would like to avoid running it pointed up if I can.
Thanks.

Yep, LCC CVDs. I couldnt keep the MRC cvds in one piece, so Josh cut these down for me. No wideners...just high offset wheels. The drag link are just traxxas and tamiya rod ends with a long grub screw between them. Yeah, fitting the drag link back there is no easy task. You'll notice that my servo sits up off of the plate. Not ideal, but I dont like running the servo horn up either...

Woah...I was a bit confused when I pulled up this thread.

The tires pictured above are the 1.9 Hot Bodies Rovers tires. There are quite a few vendors on this board that sell them....here is one:
