Default motor upgrade questions,

hey everyone, I just burnt out the stock motor on my MRC and im looking to get an upgraded one. im thinking maybe the reedy 19t stump puller, or the losi slider motor, and maybe the losi insane mtor. but i just want to get your guys opinions whats the best motor of the choices i listed above.im not looking to spend alot either. im leaning towards the reedy stump puller but i just want to get you guys reviews ont he motors. Thanks for any help you could give me.

my friend knows a guy who put a losi LST motor in his, he said it runs nice and smooth, but maybe not powerful, id go with any motor, as long as it runs its good to go!

The slider is a good cheap upgrade from the stock at about $15. They are good motors for comping because of the short run time but if your gonna bash around and run it for longer periods of time they will get really hot and could fail.
Stump Pullers will run you around $35-$40

I love mine. I run againest soundcolor alot and he has the slider he's got more wheel speed then mine but i dont see where that much speed would come in handy unless yer mudding! My set up is the insane 370 with a 12 tooth pinion sidewinder micro on a 2 cell lipo

I am running the slider with a 11t pinion (stock 14 way to fast) I also upgaded to the rc bros lockers in the axels. ( my stock blew out in 5 min w/ the slider) I am using a 2 cell lipo also and love the setup. Good luck and let us know what you decide

The pinion is the gear that is on the motor shaft and this can increase or decrease your speed and motor temp's. the MRC comes with a 14 tooth pinion and they can be bought in different tooth sizes oh that set up should be fine but I would get the 12 tooth pinion so your motor dont get too hot!

just curious, with the slider only being 15$, if i run it for 45 min and it gets too hot... what would happen? would just the motor go out or would it ruin my electronics also? i kinda want a faster motor, lol, my mrc isnt quite scale but it close enough to make it kinda rock racer/tuff truck! is the slider good at low speeds?

if the only issue with the slider is that it gets hot then thats not a problem, im not going to be driving it for like an hour straight, just a little here and a little there, i think i might go with the slider motor, what do you guys think?

I just bought the Insane. I plan on runnin' it with the stock esc and a 2 cell lipo. Another pro about the insane is it fits your stock mounting holes, no mods required.

I bought a Castle BEC and I also bought a fan for the esc.

Should take care of any heat issues. I don't have it installed yet, but I plan to take the esc out of the plastic case before I mount the fan.
