| Mini Wide Ride kit - anyone using?
Hey folks, I'm looking for some wideners for my sons MRC and my LHS guy can't get the GMade. He can get the Mini Wide Ride kit from Horizon. They bump the width out by a two inches, vs. the 1.5 of the GMades. Are any of you guys using this kit? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Ipe |

I ran wideners on mine for awhile, however I would not put them back on.

I use the Traxxas ones myself (2 ea. Traxxas #3654 Wheel Hex). I wouldn't go too wide or you're gonna start breakin' stuff.

The huge scrub radius disgusts me.

the traxxas hexes will widen the track width about 1/4" overall. taken from http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...80#post1519780 .... I didn't like the way they fit on my MRC. Because of the larger drive pin used with these hubs, when i put the wheel on, the traxxas hubs rubbed against the outer axle bearing. I drilled out the drive pin hole to fit the 2mm traxxas pins. No more rubbing and the hubs didn't come off with the wheel. After that, i didn't like the loose fit of the hub to the axle. To solve this, i cut some short pieces of 3/16" brass tubing. Maybe it is overkill, but it works for me. HTH |

| http://i.pgu.me/3Acg3tCO_original.jpg There's pic comparison of wideners in link on front of my brothers rig next to mine without. Adds about a tire width overall. As you can see http://store.rc4wd.com/Mini-12mm-Whe...r-4_p_273.html |
