Can't say I have driven it yet. I did get the Chisels mounted on my BWD wheels with Losi Memory foams tonight.

I also installed the Losi CVD's just for the time being. When the knuckles show up I will swap in the new LCC stub axles.

I hope to have the chassis soon as well. I placed my order today for the Futaba S9551 servo, Futaba 603FF RX so that I can use my 4PK or 3PMx or (???)

I have the stock parts up for sale now so I can parlay that money into the Novak Mongoose system. Still need to pick up all my lockers and aluminum parts for here and there.

Freaking new rigs get expensive........

more servo tech...Josh, I've been running a hitec HS-985MG all last season

specs: @ 6v
speed: .13sec/60°
torque: 172oz•in

I don't remember the specs on the 645 but I wanted a lil more torque so I chose the 985, the faster speed ended up being a nice bonus!

I'd like to find a servo w/ more torque (225-250oz•in) & keep the same speed.

This was the research I did when looking for the dig servo for my AX-10 Hybrid build.

The 9157 is what I ran in my 2.2 most of last year. Fairly fast and VERY strong, just heavy, big and power hungry.

Of course I do have a new BLS152 sitting here! 430+ oz/in & .14 sec transit time. It is a little more efficient then my 9157's. All of them are overkill though.

I really have high hopes for this little S9551. I want to keep the weight down where possible so I can add it where I want it.

Next I used 4 M3x6 button heads. You don't have to do anything to knuckle.

I used a thin washer between C and flanged sleeve Just one side. This helps to get rid any play.

All done. No wobble, Is alot more stronger. It easy do and takes 15mins.

Get the 3mm MRC C mod in ur ride! Way worth it.

I saw that in Eric's build, definitely ready to ditch all the 2mm crap I can!

so you think it's possible to mod a alum knuckle ( insert brand here ) to take the lcc stub axles?

I would assume no. The bearing offset would be different and put the kingpin in a different location.

Since the new knuckles use the LCC stub axles I also have to get new bearings for the application.

Egressor pointed me in the right direction and gave me the bearings specs.

So I just ordered my new bearing from Bocabearings.com

2 - 10x6x3
2 - Flanged 8x5x2.5

Total came to $19 shipped

Started my build sheet on this rig. I have every rig I have built in the last 3 years done in the same spreadsheet. I have hidden the "paid" column though, I keep track of what every parts costs (or doesn't cost). By the end I will have the exact amount as a lot of these costs are just estimates for the time being.

Had a few questions about where to get the Vendetta shocks and which ones exactly I am using.

The buggy shocks work best as the truck versions are a little larger diameter. Just take the shocks listed below and put your stock losi lower rod end on.

Duratrax number: DTXC8998
Here is a link to where to buy them: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...EARCH=DTXC8998

What no ORANGE springs!??!?!

Thanks Jason, looking forward to getting everything in. I wish there was a use for all these stock Losi parts. I could build a Hyundai if I melted down all the stock chassis and plastic parts I have taken off these kits......

Well....... um......... the transmission housing.......

Oh and the GC3 uses the factory lower links as the new upper links, except you replace the rod ends with the ends supplied in the Duratrax kit.

For now we have to make due with what little is useful in the factory kit
