Okay punched some numbers Knuckles $54.50 ish Cvd's V3 $40 ish Bearings $20 ish Hex's $20 Machine work ?????? Kinda steep or hard to swing for Mrc axles. Don't get me wrong. I've got more cash in my Mrc than I do in my Lcc . If you did all this your still stuck w/ the R&P's stripping. Just eliminating ONE weak link |

Nope, not even CLOSE. Haha. Really I've only purschasedtwo sets of Cvd's and straight axles. The stock axles, plus the extra's from the rear, plus a set of Cvd's, have lasted me over a year! I'm on my secound set of Cvd's now. I've put more cash into replacing r&p's, tranny gears, stock wheels, motors and shocks. Than into axles. Side note. I broke all those axles trying to drive the rig back upright. Stay right side up and you'll be okay |

So the cost of the bearings and difference in CVD's is all I am comparing. That comes to about $40. That doesn't really take that long to make up, plus the peace of mind on strength.

I see where your at. Since your in the market for high steer, why not? Plus bearings are wear items anyway. You need Cvd's, just a few more bucks. Take the width you gain off w/ hex's. Damn it! I'm considering it now. JK. All seriousness, I'm not bashing or criticizing. It's just like adding a super 30 kit to a d30 and running 37's, wtf?

Sometimes you have to run D44's when you don't have room to stuff a 60 in :-P

well I thought I pushed the limits of my 1.9 guess I was wrong.my comp truck has stock gears with steal locker. no worries yet with my goose pushing it. and put losi cvd's on it from the start, again no problems. my wifes truck that had mip cvd's broke both first comp[zero ackerman] replaced with losi cvd's and so far so good. but the lcc mod is cool, whats the wieght difference? and when you giving up the goods on the wheels? |

I don't want to leave any weak spots that I can easily fix beforehand. I saw two sets of MRC tranny gears go at Crawlapalooza this year in less than 20 minutes, both running Mongoose systems. That was an easy call for me. Seeing the local guys break CVD's and fight to keep parts on hand made the LCC mod seem like an even better idea. As far as weight of the MRC vs LCC stuff, I don't know. The V3's won't be here until later this week. The weight is at least 10% more, probably closer to 20%. Wheels will be a little bit

I got the alum trans gears/spur on my wifes truck. acually the wight between hers and mine was within a few grams I think. and if a cvd ever lets me down,I'll be looking at this mod aswell. I know my cvd's in my axial constantly ruined my day. I know the mip's on her truck were trash, and I hear good thing of thier products. I hear trash of the losi stuff and they have never let me down:? I would like the wieght when you get em if you dont mind. |

I recieved shipping notification yesterday from RPP that my axle shafts shipped out. As long as they are here by Thursday we will be good to go with getting the front axle assembled. My parts from JP didn't ship out until today, however he is in MO so I should see them Wed or Thursday as well. Need to pick up my Mongoose system soon so I have it in time for the Midwest Challenge. Lastly the GC3 and Vendetta shocks should be here either late this week or early next week. We are getting close to the beginning of the season Getting stoked! Who would have guessed the thread would already be at 6 pages and all I have sitting at home is a stock mini with some blingin wheels |
