| Leaking shocks?
I picked up the losi threaded shocks with the blue springs, I've heard that they leak a bit, has anyone fixed the leak and how did they do it?

| No one can stop Losi shocks from leaking, any fix is only temporary. On a positive note, keep cleaning the oil off the shocks and when they stop leaking you will know it's time to refill them. |

i used silicone glue on the bottom and top threads and they dont leak anymore. This also keeps dirt from getting in and you dont have to worry about changing your oil for a long time. I have changed the oil once allready and just cleaned the old glue off and used new stuff and no leaking..

Teflon tape on the top and bottom on mine keeps it from leaking, but I had the o rings leak, even brand new o rings leaked within an hour. I e mailed horizion hobbies and they said to use green slime when assembling the shocks, on the o rings and shaft. Its been 1 day and no o ring leak, but I havent driven it yet. So hopefully this will work good enough, the slime is a pain to do but maybe it will work.

The only thing known to keep Losi shocks from leaking, is Chuck Norris.

lol, I gotta call Mr. Norris then for sure I've used the green slime and the teflon tape. It helps but for they still leak eventually. I think next time i'm gonna use the silicone and give that a shot. |

so its been around 3 weeks since I put on the green slime, I havent driven it either and I looked at the shocks and there is a big drop of oil on one shock, and the rest are wet around the o rings. My shocks are also inverted so there is no pressure on them too. I dont think the green slime has worked and im sure if I have driven it they would have leaked out more. Im not to happy with the losi shock parts. |

Yeah, I use paste thread sealant and don't have any problems. Just make sure you bleed them first then apply the sealant and screw it in! |

No I dont leak at the threads, its the shaft o rings that leak. Impossible to stop leaking and there even brand new o rings and they leak.

im going to contact horizion and see what they will do, this is ridiculous. Im going to ask for a refund for the shocks, and the sets of o rings I paid for. im even willing to mail them in to get my money back.
