try running it non-stop for 15 mins going forword at full power. This is to set the brushes to the com (sort of a break-in for the motor) do not reverse If this dose not work maybe someone else can help. Its the only idea i have for you sorry. New motors sometimes need a little breaking in.

oh and dont let the wheels free spin they need a small load on them when you do this. Just drive it on the ground for the 15 mins.

OK, I ran it resting on my knee with the rear tires rubbing my leg just a tad for some load until the motor was real warm and so far seems to have set the brushes.

I'm gonna put it all back together and run a few packs and report back in a few.

thanks,
Brent

Report back with how it works out. I've got a mini torque master on the way and would like to avoid any hold ups.

Ok I have now run 2 packs and so far no more issues.....now if the sidewinder esc and castle link show up before this weekend I will have good odds at the comp.

The holmes motor is sure a great upgrade, plenty of power and torque!

I wish. No I'm in Milton, FL. Not many rocks here. Yeah I can't wait to get my motor. It should be here any day.

Did you get the 22t or 33t?

no I only compete in the scale comps. just had one last weekend at the slab. you comp guys is crazy haha. I wish I had the time and an endless budget to build a sweet moa rig like rokpile has. when rocky and i meet at the skook to practice he lets me drive his moa rig and it is fun. . I might show some day with a 1.9 comp rig to see that end of the hobby. i did tell devlin and rocky I would build a comp rig if rocky built a scaler. so now im in for it haha.

Well, the stall is going to piss me off, killed me on all 3 courses at the comp, One guy said that I should get the silver brushes and this will fix the prob......Why dont these come already installed if this has been a recurring problem?

How hot is the esc getting? If you still have the stock motor you could put that back in to see if it still stalls.
