Default Cheater gearing dig??

I know Losi uses the same parts for different models on occasion. I'm wondering if there is the same type axle gearing with a different ratio out there so I could have a faster front axle than a rear axle creating a fake, constant dig and remaining comp legal!? Oh yeah, metal gears.

I was just razzing...geeezz.

By the book,it is legal....obviously it's not dig. It is a huge advantage though...doubt I would have brought it up to start with.

And an interesting topic at that! I thought we were gonna be talking about viscous coupling or something.

This works, and has almost the same effect. If done right .

Loose bead locks on rear tires

There is no way that would work if you have a decent set of rims. I run VP LH's and they pinch the bead really tight as soon as you start to tighten the ring down. And at a comp when in a bad bind you can't take a touch so when you just power threw it you will most likely pop the bead right off.

Seems like this would put a lot of unwanted stress on the drivetrain

i run a set of rovers on the front and chisels on the rear, since the rovers mount up taller on my rims than the chisels do for a slight overdrive in the front. Then i loosen both setscrews on the rear center driveshafts , that way the front drives about a quater of a turn before the rear turns, similiar effect and it works somewhat like dig momentarilly when going from forward to reverse. Try it if you like. I do.

My d-shafts got slack on the rear of mine and it acted like your saying my issue was when you let off the drag brake would grab but the rig would flop back and forth because the driveline would still move. Caused lots of problems testing my rig.

I would like to know what gears got it to do that Sick but i dont think you will be annoucing that for all your competition to learn and use. RIght now you have a leg up on most if not all of the MRC guys with that.

All I'm gonna say is.....

The mrc is the crazy offspring of a few different losi vehicles.lots of parts interchangeability going on.

I will say this tho.

Your not thinking the problem all the way through. Sure it would help in some areas, but think about how bad it will hurt in others.

What problem are you talking about? Every little thing helps with these things. Not all things are a tradeoff. Yup, the part is off another losi

To everyone else, I'm not going to spill the beans just yet.

What are the basics of the operation of dig units and/or how would I go about looking this up?
