Pics of the cantilever setup, I made it from the stock chassis plates. Works great for stopping from high centering on the skid, while still riding nice and low for COG. |

That's some serious shock travel limiting of the rear left !!!

| No doubt. I can't believe the GC3 allows that much 'twist. Did you alter the GC3's link geometry? About the c'lever - when it moves/pulls down, I can see the movement is stopped by the nuts hitting the GC3 chassis. Regarding the other direction - what prevents the shocks from moving up, spinning around the pivot point a little? It looks like it might be the tops of shocks themselves if they hit the c'lever mounting screws, but it seems that that would introduce a bind point when articulating...? How about some flex shots? shock cap contacts mount screw. shock limiter is a memory foam ear plug so its not limiting as much as it seems. no binding at all from shock cap contact point. no i did not change the geometry of the links. i did move to the lowest holes so i could fit elecronics on the uppers

How long are pieces you cut from you old chassis? Any reason for that particular length? Do you think it might benefit being a little longer?

| you could make them longer but no need, imo . if you go longer on the lever then the drive shafts will need to be longer. or they would come out of the spline when the lever is down. good rule of thumb is :you dont want the ride height to be greater than the highest ride height that the chassis mount holes will allow. in other words you want the ride height as low as possible ,but when it high centers and the levers come down you dont want it to be very much taller than stock mrc ride height . I will put up some flex shots for you guys to check out in a few hours .

FYI that is not a cantilever setup, not even close. |

Thanks for clearing that up. Well I guess it could be called a variable link suspension sorry for the confusion. cantilever is not independent and it is spring loaded. is that correct? I could make this both rears/fronts work at the same time by moving the body mounts and I could easily make it a sprung lever. and I could make the levers longer and get longer drive shafts. sky's the limit. |

With a setup like that what is the point of shocks ? A setup like that gives you 0% predictability, the truck is just going to do as it pleases.

flex shots... The shocks actually still do most of the work, but thanks for the input |
