Default Rottenbelly's BWD Mini wedge.

Not gonna build this one as fast as my berg!!!
Have my chassis and links and most of my other parts.
Waiting for all the metal lockers to come in.
Gonna run some old Snipers with rovers and Nova foams.
Duratrax Vendetts shocks.
Mini sidewinder esc with Holmes Hobbies Mini torquemaster.
Hitec 645 for now.

Went ahead and got my links and Chassis mocked up.
More when the metal lockers come in.

While i am waiting on parts i decided to fab up some steering links.
I think i had one of the earlier kits before Dons steering kits were available.
So based on his design i did a little work.
Sat down with a front axle and some paper and cut out and test fit a template.

Will have maximum throw.

Final product!!

Got some much needed goodies in the mail today!

Started in on the front axle. Out with the plastic, in with the metal.

Did a little grinding to get max throw out of the knuckles. I get all the throw that the CVD's will allow.

Rear axle got a makeover also!!

Rear straight axles are a bit thicker than stockers.

Off to work on tranny and mockup!!

Got the lockers put in the tranny, and mounted up.

Got the back axle mocked up. Not to crazy about mounting options with the duratrax shocks. Gonna try a rod end mod on them when parts get in.

Front setup with wheels. Mega steering!!!!

Flex seems good. Next is gonna be electronics. OH MY!!

Servo throw just clears. Get full throw both ways!

Do you have stock mrc shocks ? Use the rod ends off them and put them on the duratrax shocks.

Wow!!! Electronics were a tight fit.!! I had to actually space the top of the chassis out a hair more to get everything in there. Stuffed a Tekin FX-R in there with a futaba rx!

Ready to go hit the rocks!!!

My other rig has a mongoose and i looked at it and said no way. I took the FX-r out of my scaler and put a BR-XL in it so i could get this running!!
I got my invite but unfortunatley i will be at work.
I work on a boat for 28 days at a time so it kinda kills my comping sometimes.
I am planning on crawlapalozza!!

Rotten one thing Me and BOWTIE noticed when we running our SS's. We made new rear upper links the same length as the lowers, It helped really help out alot. It removed almost all our t.t.

Been messing with the rear links and shock setup on my test board.
Started at 58 degrees and was getting wheel lift and torque twist pretty bad.

So i lowered the links on the chassis to the rear most bottom hole.
Then i outboarded the rear shocks at the axle. And added 2 preload collars on rear left shock.

Set the board to 60 degrees. Did well. climbed with a little wheel lift but seemed to need lots of steering input to stay straight.

Moved it to 62 degrees. Then added another preload spacer and sperated the upper links at the axle. Hard to see 62 in pic.

Liked this setup the best. Seemed to go up with hardly any steering input. Gonna hit the rocks with this setup.
Then gonna make a little longer uppers and try spacing them out on the chassis and a few other things.

One more thing you make try... On the front upper links move them down to bottom hole, then try the board again.

Oh thanks for the reminder for me get angle finder app.
