Very nice choice Marc! That little motor is a hoss! Those wheels get some more height out of the rovers, very cool.

Looks great man, really like the Vertex wheels. How tall are the rovers now? Nova single stage foam?

The wheels look killer Marc and I like what they do for your tires without hacking up a set!

Very sweet. Loading the ideas, as I have one on it's way very soon. It's gonna be a slow, deliberate build as I'm going to go from the ground up and retire the old Fubar. That rig has done nearly two years, but it's been so bloody reliable.

to be perfectly honest..if i had to add up "everything" in this build I would probably cry like a little baby...but since I have not kept track, I am grinning from ear to ear from the way this rig WORKS !!!!

Well, i guess the amount of money you pay is what you get from the Beetle!

lets theoretically say you spend 1 million on it! hahaha

the beetle is reasonably priced..the hard work of set up,tuning, and practice...is PRICELESS !!

UPDATE......
here are the black bead lock rings on white delrin..with what started out 1/2 fender washers..drilled to fit over the hub and painted black..each washer weighs 1/2 oz
4 each side frt----1 each wheel rear...next idea..get white delrin bead lock rings..
this rig is still performing AWESOME..I tried a new Hyperion battery..320 2s 25c it will get you 1 course per battery. It had no problem pushing my Contraband 16 turn motor...

marc,
I really enjoyed meeting you and chatting about your rigs.

I also was very impressed with this rig, especially that wheel tire combo.
I honestly didn't think the tire combo would work very well, but you proved me wrong.

it was great to compete with you guys and look forward to doing it again.

UPDATE...I used some 50 caliber Nickel casings, rear empty and fronts filled with lead..also Finally got me some White delrin bead locks from MTHead...It only took slight barrel grinding for the casings to fit...love the look and the functionality...my mini is complete and is handling great!!!
