Ok, I'll admit that my wiring is not the cleanest but here are some pics of what I did. I made a plate out of lexan for the battery on the upper front links and made another plate on top of the chassis to mount the micro sidewinder. I like this ESC for the ability to program it and the constant updates available . The RX is on the backtop delrin spacer. I was not concerned about the weight of these parts. I like 3M velcro to mount stuff, easier to take off if I need to switch it out and tinker. I run and 800 MaH 2s on it and have no issues, I can go to a 3s but not yet. I hope this helps John |

i like to mount my electronics with Double sided foam tape, or Velcro. Since i share my RX with my racer, i just use Velcro and it hopes very well.. but since the ESC says in my crawler, i just used doube sided foam tape to mount it. for my battery, i use a lipo and it uses barely any space so im good there |

| GC-3 mounting electronics
This is how I like it on my GC3. ESC on rear plate, RX stripped of its housing (then use some heatshrink to protect it) and double sided servo tape to under side of rear chassis spacer/block. BEC taped to side of tranny. Wiring redone to neaten as far as patience allows. 850mah 25C lipo sits snugly on the battery tray I made (from old DVD case, cut and bent then bolted in place) hope that gives some ideas. Works well for me, easy to remove battey, keep weight low and up front. |

Mine has changed slightly over the last year since I've switched to the Mongoose. Check out the link below. jdawg53's GC-3 J |

well, i might as well how i like mounting my electronics on my GC-3. my lipo is mounted on the upper-link on the front, with a piece of lexan holding it in place. used zipties and loosely tighted it, so it has play. ESC is mounted right on top of the tranny box. not the smartest place, but i find that my Castle Mamba Micro doesnt really affect how it crawls, even if i put it on the rear mount. RX, right underneath rear body post mounts. however, ive owned my GC-3 for about 3 months and just still am playing around with the setup. its just too complicated working with large electronics on a small crawler. Especially needing to pay attention to pros/cons of where im mounting the electronics. hope that guides you alittle. if you need pics, just ask for them. |
