My 1st 1.9 comp rig This is my 1.9 mini hopefully it will perform decently I got some tips from Shelby (4xFord) on this build and minis in general he also helped me out with a lot of the parts thanks again bud, anyways its basically done I just need to paint up the body. specs: GC3 chassis mrc axles with metal lockers tranny with alun gears and locker alum c's still need some alum knuckles but I did a zero ack mod delrin lowers losi alum beadlocks chisels nova single stage foams losi alum shocks micro sidewinder with cc bec holmes mini torquemaster hitec 5955 servo and a 4pk radio I plan on doing the lcc mod sometime soon but I will get a feel for it first and see how it does, I can't wait to get some drive time on this little guy. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...2008/024-1.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...2008/025-1.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...2008/026-1.jpg |
Nice!!! I run a GC3 too! also...... cool ttc trophy on the bench "thumbsup" you will NEED the LCC's ! |
Thanks man, yeah I know I'll need the lcc mod soon I did a couple sets for some the guys I comp with and they seem to be pleased with them. |
Looks really good landon "thumbsup" I beat it performs just as well.... |
Thanks man I hope so, we won't have another comp until January so I have plenty of time to get it tweaked in. |
Nice work Josh! |
Whats the wieght difference between your upper/lowers? might ought switch your uppers to delrin to, I'm just runnin the gc3's as lowers & stock lowers as uppers...never weighed them... nothin fancy:mrgreen: been doing some tinkerin lately though...might do some delrin links??? |
Man there really isn't a big difference at all in weight the only reason I built the lowers was because I didn't have the stock lowers this rig was pieced together and when I needed the stock lowers everyone was out of stock but I do like the delrin better. |
And here it is with a body mounted up. I just went simple and clean plain ole black. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...2008/001-2.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...2008/002-4.jpg |
Looking good"thumbsup" |
What, no red?!?! "thumbsup" You might want to limit those shocks just a hair (~1/4"). I know most guys run the Duratrax shocks on the GC3 and they are slightly shorter than the Losi shocks. Also, Losi now makes some cartridges that include an o-ring around the base of the threads to keep the oil from leaking....you might want to read through DelMonte's MRC build and find the part number. Mine havent leaked a drop after swapping them in... |
Thanks guys, and yeah I was going to ask you about those cartridge Jeremy thanks."thumbsup" |
