|  Mac10's MRC Pro "Tiny Tuna"
After a couple months of ignoring my urge to buy the new pro kit, I finally gave in! I've been eyeballing these for a while now. My problem is I never driver current mini unless it's at a comp. I never practice, but I always have a blast driving it when I do. I had decided I wanted a sprung setup so I decided this was a prime opportunity for me to pick up a pro kit. I love what Losi has done to this rig in the pro kit. I'm very excited to get it on the rocks (once the foot of snow melts) I pulled it out of the box and decided really quickly it needed some changes. I've had a few people tell me how side to side slop is good for performance, but I highly disagree with this statement. It only causes unpredictability in my opinion! So far I've outboarded the upper links and moved them to the holes I think will work best(I'm sure I'll be tweaking from my baseline) Outboarded all four shocks a little more than the outboard kit from Losi gives You. I added bent lowers in the rear only so far. Lunsford steering links Mip cvd driveshafts Tekin b1r Hitec 7950hv servo (hardwired) Poulson 35t motor Spektrum micro rx Thunder power 850mah 45c 2 cell Od front pinion Losi soft springs in the front Stock in rear 30 wt in all four Limited 1/4" externally in the rear 3/16" internally in front Losi aluminum beadlocks Hb rovers Crawler innovations soft foams in front Medium foams in rear(trimmed down) I was able to get almost all of the slop out if the rig and so far it feels really good on the bench. I'm sitting at 2.3" of gc right now I'm itching to get it on the rocks and test it. I think I may need to go to 20 wt oil in the front? Onto the pics Electronics plates are .040 styrene.   You'll see that I took a dremel to the leading edge of the chassis to clear my battery.   |

She is all wired up and running now. I easily fit my electronics on the back electronics plate. And the battery fits on my front plate(barely without rubbing) I was originally going to mount all my electronics on the axle servo plate, but decided it would be to crowded/ugly/ and unprotected.   Here is the stance it has as of now. I have been wanting to try this out for a while now(hopefully it works out?)  And the mandatory flex shot of course!  |

Great build, really impressed by the Pro, wish i'd waited a bit longer and done more research before buying my stock MRC  What do you mean by this please? Quote:

They don't come with the outboard kit. I just built my own outboard kit, but I spaced the shock out a little more with a nut to get a little more angle on the shock.  Hope that helps. |

Good looking PRO you've got there Did you notice any binding at the upper mount with the shocks outboarded out that far? |

Man that looks good, I do have a question I am getting a mrc pro in the next few days and I am wanting to upgrade the drive shafts to mips but I don't have a clue as to what size to get, will the regular mips work. I know this is a newbie question but I am a newbie to the mrc side of crawling, if any one could please pm me in the right direction for em with p/n if possible or just what to ask for when I go to get em. No they are to big just get the MIP drive shafts for the MRC they fit.

I haven't noticed any binding yet. I'll go double check it though. I did notice I had the electronics plates a little tight which caused a little bit of binding, but I simply loosened up a zip tie and that problem went away. I've been working on the body and have it basically done. My build threads are always really fast and short lived.  I have zero patience when it comes to my crawlers! I want them done asap and I won't rest until it's completely done.  |

Now that I think about it, my shocks only would bind if they were upside-down and outboarded that far... Either way, lets see some pics of that thing on the rocks |

Aaaaand I'm done!!!! Finished everything up tonight finally. For the moment I'm sitting at 1 3/4" gc Full extension is 2" Full compression is 1" It feels good, but only time will tell. Here she is with the lid all nice and shiny ready to get scratched next weekend!      |
