Default To glue or not to glue...rear tires

I saw on youtube yesterday a video that showed a MRC that was able to climb a steeper incline with its rear tires unglued than glued. Has anyone tested this? All my tires are glued so I can not test. Thx.

I too have seen this mod, not tried it, but in theory if implimented correctly, it should work (obviously by preventing the rear wheels grabbing a rock, and flipping the crawler backwards.).

Another method is the now famous front axle overdrive mod (to speed up the front over the rear, reducing the rigs desire to flip backwards).

It basicly gives it the MOA clod-stall effect. My main concern is rolling the tire off the bead and not having that traction in the rear when you need it.
