Default 1.9 sedonas

Has anyone ever tried to cut a sedona down to a 1.9 tire?

I havent tried it but I seen a few guys try to downsize 2.2 tires and they never really seemed to work all that good. The lugs are just to big IMO.

I personally think the 4" mark is the right size for a 1.9 comp tire. All stock 1.9's besides the flatirons are just to darn small for my liking. Soooo, I recently did a cut n open on some 1.9 rovers to get them to just over 4 inches. I also did a cut and shut on some proline 2.2 hammers and they both have turned out much better than any stock 1.9 I have run. So to say the cut n shut don't really work out in my opinion is a bit off.

What I did with the hammers was a bit unique. I trimmed the center stripe out. I cut out two small strips on the outsides and reglued the centers. They turned out really good and get a huge footprint on the ground. I also siped them.

Good job Rick.

My 2c on sedonas

The sedona is a good 2.2 tire for some, not me.
The good thing about the sedona is when you are spining it is more perdictable. But I cant get em to hook as good as I can a rover.

I think the sidewall is to much for a 1.9,I think the lugs are to big for a 1.9.

In my opinion the best 1.9 tire available on the market is
1. eddies 4" rovers
2. eddies 4"cuogars
3. his 4" plowboys
4. his 4" kaos

I'm telling ya straight up,If you want the best1.9 tires available, get ahold of eddie, its that simple.

If I could have whatever tire I wanted,It would be eddies 1.9 rovers
with a footprint like his kaos(flat and wide)

Here is his vender page http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/crawler-innovations/

Just read a bit,the guy knows his stuff, and he is a perfectionist

Here is his 1.9's
the plowboy is really a cobra I guess, and I dont see cougars anymore
but here is his link to available 1.9's
