Default My Aluminium Beadlock Wheels

I just wanted to show the split-wheels I made at school to fill time. I still need to make the inserts.

I made the hubs to widen the stance a bit.

There's a lack of finishing but I didn't feel like it was worth it. Maybe I'll sand and polish them later.. I was also thinking of painting black the outer face to make the wheels look smaller.

Let me know what you think, I'm open to criticism.

Great little project, what did you get your width out to be?

The track is about 1/2" wider than stock.

Looks like good work to me!

If only I had access to a metal shop so I could spend time experimenting on stuff like that.

Good job!

Great work, when you say "school", you mean you get to do this at high school/college etc. Wish we got to do this when I when to school!

Just another question, do they clamp the tire? Or do you still glue the tire on? (it looks like sliding a simple tube between the two halves would act as a beadlock).

keep up the good work!

It's not high school or college, it's a professional school where I'm studying to be a machinist. If this doesn't make sense, I apologize. I know the whole school thing here is different than the US(and probably elsewhere) and I don't know how to call this kind of school in english(I speak french).

They clamp the tires but I still need to make the inserts that go between. I'll post pics when done.

It should be a Trade School. Keep it up! You'll have a bright future with those sample work. We might see you as one of the vendor in the future...

Yeah, that's called a Trade school in the US. Awesome work. You should sell them.

Good to know the name. However, they would be more cost effective if made on the CNC. Like everything I suppose..
