Default what is a good steering servo

what is a good steering servo, right now i am running a stock one and whant to upgrade if there is a better one then the stock one.

Hi-tech HS-65MG, if you want to stick with small size, or a 645MG for full size. These are good affordable options. Of course, if you got the dough, get the highest torque you can find.

i have a hitec hs 5645 mg and its awesome!!! lots of torque and the nice thing is its rebuildable. but i tried to put my stock steering horn on and they are close to the same but far enough not to work so i just bought a robotic horn and it works great

JR/Spektrum/Airtronics will work with the stock horn. You can usually get a metal gear JR Sport cheap. Personally I'm running a Savox TG1256.

I like it quite a bit, but I am running it on 6v through a BEC. I just wish (like 90% of others,) that there was a 200ozin low profile available.

Here is a link to a BEC for an example. http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=13&page=1

Go to the electronics section and search for BEC(battery eliminating circut). On the mini's it is not so impairitive IMO to run one unless you jump up to a really high torque servo or run 3s lipo.
