Default Slingshot Build

Just starting to get into crawling after playing with my brothers MRC so i decided to get one of my own, found one on Ebay and scooped it up it had a sling shot chassis, losi threaded shocks, and a hobbico servo this is what i got

First thing i did was wheels and tires, 1.9 FlatIrons on 8 spoke Aluminum Beadlocks weighing 4.3 ounces a piece so no need to weight them...yet

Next came a Holmes Hobbies 33t motor, Tekin B1R ESC, Hitech HS-645MG servo, Losi Metal Lockers all around and Tranny flip

I have lipo's on the way, 2s 850Mah and cant wait till all this snow melts so i can go out and Bash this thing!!!

nice find, that chassis has worked very well for me in the past.
I will say that 4" tires work best IMO with that chassis.

Having an issue with my motor, it seems like it has a dead spot, it will not turn when i pull the trigger but if you turn the spur gear a tiny bit if works fine anyone have any ideas for me?

Pull the motor and try it without any pressure on it. If it is stock ditch it and buy a motor from Rockhard. I am saving my quarters from one myself.

Looks to me like it has a quality motor already....
its probably iether a holmes,or a trinity mini moster
its got the cobalt blue can though.....

do like rich suggested, remove the motor pinion and see what it does.

It could be a # of things though. It may be a stuck brush
could be the brushes are worn could be it needs a cleaning
could be a combination of all.

I myself would deffinatly remove the motor and open it up,and give her a good inspection/cleaning
