Default 3 days and busted...errr...

Just bought my first rc. Used crawler gc3 chassis.

Everything was great, then wheel bound and now it jerks and pops a little.

Not sure what broke. Trans?

Sounds like the plastic spool/locker in the axle housing went bad. Replace it with steel lockers

Previous owner replaced them with steel. What's the next weakest link?

I'm gonna need to learn to be more gentle.

Did he replace the Axles, and Transmissions lockers?

Start there, if not that the Pinion would be next. I suspect though its the rear locker. The metal locker alone isn't enough to hold the entire thing together when surrounded by plastic. Try a one piece aluminum set up:

It was the trans. Stripped three teeth off the taller gear.

Now what?

Simply replace it or is there something better?
