| Waterproofing MRC
I have already waterproofed the esc, rx, and servo. What other things should be done in order to be able to drive this in the mud and water?

get some green marine grease or Lucas Red"N"Tacky, they will both work well to keep the water out of the axels and keep them from rusting solid, some in the tranz would not hurt either. |

| Do you just put where the axles/shafts go through the bearings or stuff it inside the housing as well? How much do you use?

I do not run my MRC in those conditions, for my SCX10 I packed it from the Diff. to the outer brearings. There was a lot of resistance because of the grease but it kept them watertight. I would take the axle apart and spread a thin coating on one side of the case when it is split and put it back together, that should do you fine. The tranz, I just coated the gears, I replaced mine with all metal. Are you planning to submarine it or just go through water crossings?

I appreciate the help and advice. Probably will just run it through crossings, but if I don't get tires soon might be a submarine as well!! |
