And I thought I was pushing the envelope with 7oz in each tire up front. Im still using my original esc and motor. I have to break it to either fix it or upgrade. ESC and motor will definitely be my next upgrade.

I'm trying to get weight dialed in for comping... I'm not sure where you guys are even fitting 7oz+ in each wheel. Is a lot of that weight just from aluminum wheels? I have the stock wheels and did the beadlock conversion and was able to fit only 1.5oz in per wheel (above the stock wheel/tire weight) my body torque is still a weak point and I'm thinking more weight up front will really help. Am I going to have to get new wheels for the added weight?

well, there is space in the inside of the wheel that faces towards the axle, which acts kind of like a knuckle weight.

most people will use Lead weights for that, since it weights alot.

Thanks, for some reason when I first looked at doing that I thought that the knuckle would get in the way so I didn't take a second look. But I went ahead and did it tonight and was able to get an extra 1.5 oz per front wheel.

Yeah I'll eventually get some good aluminum wheels but until budget allows this will have to do.

I can't remember exactly, but box stock elecs, box stock wheels I'm running home made lead weight at about 3 oz front and 1 oz rear (per wheel).

I think I need to invest in some ally wheels 9 oz in each wheel???

Between all my sets (stock, flat irons, chisels & red rovers) my average per tire+wheel+weights is:

Front: 7.5oz per side
Rear: 4.8oz per side

Guys in NTX are starting to get the trucks in the air some. Been working to get my center of gravity as low as possible and run as little as possible at the corners. Right now I have one ounce in each BWD aluminum front wheel, with knuckle weights. I am also running and ounce in the rears on the axles and running Delrin BWD wheels stock.

Not sure exactly, will weight them later, how much actuall weight I am running, but I used solder wrapped around the inside of the wheel instead of stick on weights. No way to loose the weight this way. Here is an example; it is one of my AX-10 wheels, but it is done the same way as the mini wheels.

We just had Jay Robinette here for the Central States Challenge in Omaha. He's running aluminum wheels all around with the Losi MRC wheel weights in front with an ounce of weight on the front axle. No extra weight in the rear. That put him around 3.5 ounces for the rear wheels and 5.25 ounces in the front.
