Default Price Check, please...

All,

I'm reprioritising my RC herd, and I am considering selling my MRC, but really have no idea what to ask.

I will sell it in one of three forms:
RTR- It will come with a stock Losi TX and what is pictured, except it will have a different RX
ATR- It will come with what is pictured, except no TX/RX
ATR- It will come with what is pictured, except no TX/RX and servo

Everything that is pictured is what it will come with, if I decide to put it up for sale:
Zero Ackerman steering
Losi CVDs
Two LiPos
Losi Bend Links
metal lockers (both axles and tranny)
HH 22T motor (currently having brush-sticking issues)
4-Link
Losi Aluminum shocks
MIP Drive Shafts
Proline wheels with the upgraded wheel weights

The pictures show the parts lot that comes with the truck and includes:
New set of tranny gears
Two new spur gears
Aluminum knuckles
Springs for drooping the shocks
Stock motor
Integy bent links
And a mini butt-ton of screws

Thanks for your input

What are you seeing for similar rigs in the for sale section?

"SOLD"

I went there first and just about every RTR or ATR said "SOLD" where the price was.

I'm thinking somewhere between $150-200, but I don't know if that is asking too much...

Thanks

I would say start it at $170 RTR and then go from there.

I bought something similar lately and it went for 160$, without the aftermarket chassis it's hard to justify more than that.

after buying and selling a few mrc's, you are realistically going to be able to get about 150-170 including shipping. having a spektrum rx will always help your price. i tend to price my stuff a little more than what i want to give yourself a little negotiating room, the problem comes if you price too high no one makes offers, too low and people assume there is something wrong with it.

i would start at 170 and be happy selling for anything more than 150

I'm just getting back into RC and noticed that the return on investment is terrible, especially compared to my audio and photography hobbies. He is going to get about 35% on his investment if he bought it all new.

that is why i tend to trade a lot more than trying to sell. my suggestion would be to trade your mrc for stuff you need for the rigs you are keeping

With just about all other RCs I have a good feeler for market value before I post them for sale, but with this guy I was stumped. I was guessing between 150-200, looks like I was in the right neighborhood.

Trades are a good idea, but trading doesn't really help when you are trying to get money for a new RC.

Many thanks for the replies!!!

That's why he was saying to trade, so you don't waste money on a bad investment in a new vehicle. You probably spent $400+ on your MRC when a used one plus your upgrades would have cost much less. Same with the new vehicle you are looking at. I am sure you are going to upgrade it, so why buy new?

True, but if the truck you are after is too new to have used ones for sale, you have to buy new...
