| MRC for beginner
so, I picked up a honcho to craw in the backyard and around the area. my little boy loves it. I'm looking to get him a crawler like the MRC. I know you guys have heard this before, but what are the weak links that I will be repairing when he breaks it? or necessary mods to help him out |

For the little guy, I would make sure you replace the lockers w/ metal ones in each locker and transmission. Mostly cause he will get it in a bind and want to throttle out. The plastic ones will break instantly with no finesse on the throttle. The platform out of the box is pretty capable, of course tires are always a nice addition or to lower the rideheight to make it more stable. Mostly just get out and go play with him and enjoy it. |

all the information you will need is right here in this forum. the guide post will explain quick free upgrade. But if you like me and alot of others in here you get the bug and replace it all! but when i first got my mrc i left it stock for several months before upgrading things. Minus a bottom link breaking from a fall I had no issues.

Sometimes I forget how capable and fun the stock setup is. Then with a few mods it can become a really capable mini crawler, Before I swapped out to a GC-3 chassis, my stock chassis was awesome (four linked, alu shocks, decent tires etc etc all helped). Have fun, thats what its all about! |
