See Rockhards build as well as many other wedge builds to get a better handle on setup. This chassis is a performer for sure. Don makes first rate stuff.

I just got the chassis in the mail today, (it was some real fast shipping!) I started working on it for an hour or so. I didnt take any pics yet though.

When you install the motor plate do you guys reinstall the plastic gear cover or not? I kept it off cause it kinda ruins the good looks of the new plate haha

plate = weight. Get'er gone. Please validate my ideas if you would and put a piece of lexan on the outside of the gear box down low for at least your RX.

One not worthy thing also is the fact that I recently ground down my front axle knubs for my servo tray. I lowered my servo and battery and it would appear my climbing angle has gotten better. Just a theory right.

Keep the gear cover off. I'm stealin the lexan plate idea to mount my CC ESC and BEC with the Rx tucked in vertically behind the transmission.

I have personally found with rather large tires this allows me to still run my weight low with both the battery and servo dropped on the front axle and my rx (out of its case) and my sidewinder next to the tranny on lexan. Really works nicely against the offset of the motor on the other side.

This should help - straight off the BWD site. I'm running the original rear end so don't have any pics of my own to help you.

Ok, thank you. He must of just got them up cause I couldnt find anything. I just dont understand because none of the hardware included will fit through the losi link (the one ball end will now come off for me) The losi ball end is too small. and It seems like the link just dosent fit right for me

You should be using the traxxas 3mm rod ends everywhere except on the lower links at the axles.
